Has anyone had side effects when taking Zoloft?

I have been taking Zoloft for about 6 months, and recently increased the dosage to 100 mg per day. I am worried abotu side effects. Has anybody had experiences with it? (good or bad). THanks!!

Go to Google and type in, Zoloft Side Effects. You will get 4, 450,000 hits. There are too many of them to type in here but you can’t go of of those SSRI’s cold turkey. I believe they have put a black box warning on most of them stating that a suicide risk has been noticed in some teens and elderly persons.

I agree with rnealw. SSRIs are generally much safer compared to older antidepressant drugs. I’ll reiterate what rnealw said–contact your physician asap with any new side effects, problems or questions you may have. -S

This is really a discussion that should be between you and your doctor since it is about a prescribed medication. if you notice what you consider possible bad effects tell your doctor.

Dear Fau, What are you depressed over?

These drugs for depression only mask problems in our life that we don’t want to deal with. For example…a bad relationship, a crappy job, a sedentary life, family idiots to deal with, fear, etc…

I read that there are a lot of side effects when a person takes Zoloft which is supposedly a medicine for depression.
