Baby rats

my new litter of baby rats are almost 4 weeks old. they’re eating regular food and drinking from their watter bottle but I took the mother out today and I hope theyr’e ok. I had to move her 2 weeks early back into a cage with her mate so that I’d have another litter by december. plus she bit me for the first time ever in the 2 months I’ve had her. I’m not sure if the babie’ll be ok ro what to do about hte moms biting. I dont want to get rid of her.

The mother only bit you because she was protecting her babies, that’s completely normal. Why are you breeding so much? Do you sell them to people or what? Because there are so many rats out there that need homes and it seems unfair for people to be breeding so much like that. I go to the pet store and there are like hundreds that need homes. Why make this worse?
