How to avoid parasitic worms?
This might sound silly but I’ve started developing a huge fear of parasitic worms ever since I saw my cat release a tape worm. I de-wormed her but I’m still paranoid. What are the best ways to avoid them? All types.
Wear shoes outside, wash your hands, keep you hands and other random objects out of your mouth, dont play with animal poop, dont play in the dirt expeccaly wear animals have been pooping, cook meat thoroughly .
Don’t be too worried. If you live in the USA it’s pretty unlikely that you’ll catch anything even if your dirty. The human body isn’t the right environment for most of the parasites that pets get. Even though they are can infect humans… generally, if your healthy and don’t eat poop our immune system can fight them off.
