On average, how much do massages cost?
My sister and I were planning on getting our mother a package for massages. The place we went to said one massage was about $100 and that they had a package of 5 massages for about $400. Thing is, neither of us have any knowledge on the regular price of massages. Is it priced by time? How much is it usually for certain amounts of time? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Depends on the people doing it. Generally in a standard spa, you should pay around $60+ per hour. However for more exclusive spas, you can pay $200+ or more.
There must be training salons in Canada, similar to the training hair salons where people can go to get their haircut or coloured by the students or trainees at those salons at a discounted price than what you usually paid if you went into a shop salons…. I’m sure there must be massage training schools in Canada for students wanting to learn massages and needing “models” to practice on. Would be an affordable and safe gift if it is done at the massage training school premises and your mother would be pampered without the massive price tag you and your sister have to fork out.
My aunt always buys those for my mom, and she claim she pays around the 200 to 250 mark, but there is a lot more expensive places especially here in California.
