What is the average cats lifespan?

Answer #1

indoor cats= 14-17 years, and outdoor cats= 5-8 years. (:

Answer #2

So they live longer than some dogs that’s good

Answer #3

I had a tonkinese that lived to be 20 years old.

Answer #4

I never heard of that kinda cat b4

Answer #5

For me (not a cat lover) 17 minutes would be too long… I had to sit my sister’s cat for a day and the darn thing just refused to understand “Please go to a neutral corner”- every time I went into the kitchen it thought that it was snack time and did this melancholy meowing & ankle rubbing thing. Happily we both survived the day although it was ‘touch & go’ (for me) towards the end…

Of course when my sister asked, “How did it go?” I lied and said, “OH- just great.”

Answer #6

Lol that’s funny, I’m sure it wasn’t funny to u

Answer #7

Answer #8

It is a recognized breed that is from siamese and burmese parentage. They look alot like a siamese but with rounded features as opposed to the siamese that have very squared facial features. They are very intelligent and people oriented with a mild-mannered personality. Mine, Tao, didnt meow, he uttered connected syllables of different pitches and after a while taught me to understand when he wanted a drink of water (he preferred to drink out of the running faucet in the bathroom), when he wanted some left over chicken or pork, or a drink of milk or some cat treats. He was also very independent and demanding at times, when he used the litter box, he would insist we clean his litterbox IMMEDIATELY and wouldnt stop bugging us until we did. Other than that he was very quiet.

Answer #9

Wow r u serious!!!! That’s awesome

Answer #10

That snds like a cool cat to have, r they big? Or ?

Answer #11

Yes well we had cats as a kid but they stayed in the barn, we did not like cats in the house, the cats server a purpose, just like a tractor or another tool on a farm, they where used to keep mice out of the barn. We did feed them and never where cruel to them, but I am not a big fan of cats, dogs will most of the time listen to you.

Answer #12

I had a cat that acted like a dog and that was cool, when someone knocked at the door the cat wud run to the door and started meowing like it was a dog trying to bark at whoever was at the door, it was so funny

Answer #13

I have never seen that, my grandmother likes cats, but all they ever do is hide around the house and sleep or eat.

Answer #14

Standard size, about 14 pounds.

Answer #15

14 pounds is standard size for a cat?! My cat is 2 years old now and is only 6 pounds….and its not like we dont feed her or our other pets, guess shes just small.

Answer #16

It depends on the cat. My cat is 14 pounds but she is seriously overweight. She’s supposed to be about 8-10 pounds.

Answer #17

One of the cats we have now is an American short hair, one of 5 rescued cats we keep inside. His name is Tigger and he weighs 18 lbs. His sister from a previous litter, Shadow weighs only 7 lbs. Tigger has a big abdomen (when we brought him inside he had a liver infection that made it swell), but is otherwise very muscular. We weighed Riley and he was 10 lbs. about 6 mos. ago. The other two, Dusty and Rusty dont like to be picked up and weighed but my guess is Rusty at bout 9-10 lbs and Dusty 10+ lbs.
