How do you audition for a movie?

I’m only 14, so keep that in mind!

Answer #1

Find an agency, “Actors in Action” and “Extras Only” are ones i know of in the portland area. They’ll tell you whenever theres a movie or a part you can audition for. At most auditions they’ll give you something to read or they’ll expect you to have something memorized. They’ll tell you what they want you to do and just do it :)

Answer #2

Do you have to have an agent?

Answer #3

Yes i do his name is damon and he’s through actors in action. Just look for talent agencies in your area :) Just google “talent agencies near (where ever you live)”

Answer #4

Thanks, and one more question. I pretty much support myself, my parents are not really there for me, I take care of myself. Does it cost alot of money to get an agent?

Answer #5

Depends where you go, good agents wont charge to represent you but they will take usually 10-15% of the money you make for a job.

Answer #6

Have you gotten any jobs yet?

Answer #7

Yeah i’ve had a few, I was in critter gitters when I was little haha and I’ve been in probably like 20 commercials. It’s really fun, but high stress. Auditions are sooo nerve wracking, if your good at memorizing lines though it’ll highly benefit you :)
