Asking my father for concent

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for almost 3 years, im 16 and he is 19 we love each other deeply, he is in the army, I live in nj but he lives in his military base in nc… I really want to be with him, plus he is going to war on june 2009.. So we want to get married.. My mother supports us and would sign my concent… But my father doesnt listen.. How could I convince him to sign the concent?

well talk to him thats the only way… try to be mature about this that way he can see you are grown up. have your boyfriend go over and have a man to man talk with your dad that might help

No you see there is the problem you want to rush into things…if you really love him and he loves you then you guys can wait forever…love is patient. maybe your dad things that you are not ready because you want to rush into things. just be calm and if its true love you will wait for him… and he will come back for you

just be like “hey dad;I love him.he is the only one I could EVER dream of beinf with.I would really love for you to sign this..so we could get married.please dad,I love him! :D”

well.. my boyfriend already proposed tho.. plus.. he proposed one day when he came to visit from NC it was during the summer… we were all eating dinner with my whole family.. and I mean.. my family is kinda big… MY SISTER, COUSINS, AUNTS UNCLES, AND MY PARENTS… he proposed and I said yes… now the only little tiny puzzle piece needed is my father’s concent!! we are really desesperated.. and we want to get married NOWWW!!!
