My irish setter was AI by my male dog 2 weeks ago today. She had a test at the vet saying she was in heat. Yesterday there was some drops of blood. Is this a bad sign?
What us Al Your dog is now officially in heat. She will most likely flag and stand for your male in a few days. Until she is ready she will nip him and sit down and not let him try to mount her.
Some times dogs tie too soon. If there is a female some were in the area putting off a scent the male will get mixed signals and tie with the wrong unsuspecting female. This does not happen often but does happen.
If your female has already had a heat a full heat, 21 full days 7 coming in, 7 in (blood) and 7 going out. Than you have a problem.
Ok so you are saying they A.I her when she was in heat (about two weeks ago) and now she is having a vaginal discharge? A Heat last about 3 weeks are you sure she was over it? I would call the vet who A.I her and ask them if this is normal,
