What do I put on my resume if I've never had a job before?
& what do I say at the interview?
The job I'm applying for is at a pet store.
You just exclude the part prior job experience and before submitting your cv (resume) tell them that it is your first job.
Still include all the other sections. Like personal details, education, hobbies and interests (and remember to include that you love animals in this section - keep it short though, you don't want to sound desperate).
The interview will depend on what they ask you. Just be prepared to answer questions on whether you've worked with animals before (you don't have to have job experience, personal experience will work) etc etc.
Oh and dress well for the interview. Even thought it is for a pet store, you still want give a good first impression: Don't wear any jeans.
the owner of blythes sporting goods gave my class good tips on applying for your 1st job...
hope this advice helps!!! :)
Oh this is always fun. During the interview be very thoughtful about your answers. and on your resume make sure you have references and fill those up.
If it is your first job, make sure you fill the resume up as much as possible. what counts the most though in my thoughts is the interview. Just google up "common questions asked during interviews" and become accustomed to the type of questions they ask.
