read a book, listen to some calming music, eventually you’ll get tired and fall asleep and forget about it.

I use to do this……. breathe in and out and count to ten (In my mind) and after I was relaxed. It’s a tactic you can use. Also, taking karate or drama can give you confidence if you’re suffering low self- esteem and anxiety.

meditation really helps some people, make an honest attempt at it if you want results tho.

I assume you are under the care of a doctor if you are on prescription medication.

You should ask your doctor. Your doc may agree to your taking a holiday from medication to see if it is still needed. Note that many psychiatric medications should not be stopped abruptly but need their dose tapered over time to prevent widthdrawl or rebound problems.
