Another poem about a real event

I saw in the seattle times that a girl was abused by her foster care mother and was stabbed in the eyes with needles and suffered permanent vision loss so I wrote a poem about it…tell me what you think…

So young in her creation Was the child who cried Denied of salvation, Her faith had died

Her organs of sight Flawed by a pin Once were so bright Now scarred by a sin

What was the motivation? Was there a need? It was the domination Her pain was the feed

Beaten and used By a provider of all Her youth was abused To her knees she did fall

Faced with the bruises Her innocence was damned Long gone the muses Her heart had been slammed

A permanent bane Of the quality to see An everlasting pain Never to let free

Hurt from the ache And never to forgive The young girl will wake A different life forever to live
