Why do animals never have toothache as they never brush their teeth?

Answer #1

They do get tooth aches. Both dogs and cats get tooth decay and should have heir teeth cleaned regularly. Many animals chew on bones wich helpes to keep their teeth clean, much like brushing them.

Answer #2

Who said that animals never have toothaches. They do have tooth problems, sometimes their gums bleed by oozing saliva. Even they have broken tooth like us but they do not disturb others as we humans do. I brush my dog’s teeth once in a week. Do you know even floss, cleanup and whitening is also done to animals teeth.

Answer #4

They can get toothache but if your asking why an animals teeth can stay relatively healthy without brushing, the answer is down to their diet. If you think about carnivorous animals like can and dogs (although dogs are technically classified as omnivores), their domesticated diet contains alot of dry food or chews. By eating these types of foods they are exercising their teeth and gums and removing tartar in the process. Therefore, this is helping to maintain healthy teeth.
