Is it possible through evolution or trial an errorr or whatever the cause may be, animal such as rats bears etc. get too smart for mouse traps or bear traps or whatever trap for a particular animal, and start to evade them as soon as they see it ?
They might…but it’ll take a very long time…(heights is one of those things that are instictive to all the animal kingdom…it didn’t take hundreds of thousands of animals to fall to get that lesson gentically linked)…

it is possible because after a long period of time, the longer we use traps they will become used to it and stay away from such things because they know it will kill them. Just like other animals who learn that going near the cliff will make you fall over and die so they dont go past it.
