what advice would you give someone who was always angry all the time because of something horrible that happened to them in the past?
what helped me was channeling that anger into facing what was causing that anger.
you choose the time and place to do that (when you have support and the strength).
accept what happened, accept there was nothing you could do about it, face it, move past it. it will always be a part of you, but you can turn it into a 'strength' and not something that generates weakness.eventually you will see it as "look what I survived" .
Get over it.
You can't change the past, so why let it make you miserable now?
I know a thing or two about getting over the past...my childhood was wracked with pain and humility...but you know something? Since I decided I wasn't going to let that get in the way of me living a wonderful life, I've been able to shrug it off and laugh at the people who caused me pain. I'm happy...very happy.
You can't move forward in a positive direction by reliving the past over and over - if professional help is needed, get it - life is choices - have faith and determine to make good ones !!
Just stop thinking about it !!!
