Hi there, hello, I'm new to this site..
I have 2 questions,
hubby & I have 4 gorgeous boys but want to complete our family with baby girl, I'm on a 31 day cycle with my period & they last for 3-5 days, I just had my period on the 6th of august, they came on time, but I had no period pains, they were very light the 1st 2/3 days & spotting on 4th & 5th, I feel really bloated & light headed/nauseas, could I be pregnant, I dont really want to get tested as I am not late,,, anyway does anyone know when is a good time to try for a girl? any advice would be great, thanks heaps :-)
ok on a 31 day cycle you optimum 'ovulation day' would probably be on the 15th 16th day, but the only way to check would be to do an ovulation test...
you can find out with a first response pregnancy test 10 after conception...and you should know more than anyone the signs lol!
but as for a girl, there are loads of theorys about how to 'determine' a sex. diet, dates etc, but genetics paly a huge role...it's the male that determines the gender of the baby, so, does he come from a family with many girls?
they say that the male sperms swim faster than the female, which means that if you were to have sex 2 days before your ovulation day, when the ovum is released, the female ones would be in the majority...
there is no clear science to it...and I would be prepared to have a boy again personally, I'm not sure that having another one on the off chance of getting a girl is wise, will you mind if you have another boy? and when do you stop? what happends if you end up with twin boys?
my aunt had six boys...and only then gave up having a girl...
I just think that having a baby is about having a baby, not about having a girl or a boy...
I'm sorry if it sounds as if I'm having a go, just I have known people who pinned their hopes on having 'a boy' or having 'a girl' and it really affected their relationship, with such a lovely family already, I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else...
p.s; that would make your ovulaiton day around the 22nd, get an ovulation test to check, you can get 5 for about £20 I think from boots...
