Aggression in cat

Recently my roommate’s cat as been very aggressive. We don’t know what it is. He’d crawl up on your lap and expect you to pet him. He’d then start biting and scratching and if you try to push him away he’ll viciously attack you. It happened to my roommate today. Thing is if you stop petting him he attacks, but if you don’t stop petting him he attacks. He’s only 2 years old and was fixed as soon as he was old enough.

Answer #1

I had a cat just like that. She would get mad at you if you came to close to her face. And if you touched her stomach she would go crazy!

Maybe somethings bothering him. Like if you’re touching him somewhere that hurts. Or maybe he has a tick or something? lol, something has to be bothering him.

Answer #2

I agree the vet should tell you somthing and maybe fix it

Answer #3

I’d take him to a vet, something has to be tramatizing him. Poor guy.

Answer #4

Something could be hurting him inside…animals can only communicate in limited ways. I’d go for a full check up at the vet to see if something is in pain, and causing him to lash out.
