Admit to Lying?

I just found out that my whole relationship has been a lie. I met my now ex boyfriend about two months ago and we really hit it off. We didn’t date for quite a while before we broke up. Keep in mind he did it via text message. He had always told me he loved me and didn’t want to lose me, and I asked him if it had been a lie. He told me it was. So my question is how do I deal with that? He knows I’ve been hurt like that in past relationships. He also told me that he didn’t want me to hate him, he still wanted to be friends, etc. But he lied to my face multiple times. What do I say to him? How do I even deal with someone like that.
