A friend of mine is claiming that they do because she was abused and she has a bunch...even though she said that her sister wasn't abused and as some too. My cousin has lupus...and yeah, we've never heard of this and she wasn't abused. Wondering if it's a bunch of horse hockey. She's claiming it was a real study though.

For example, both my sisters have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the thyroid, sending it into overdrive. Even type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, and one of my aunts has that.
