Am I being self absorbed if I think I'm beautiful?

Whenever somebody asks me if I think I’m ugly, I say no, because I think I’m beautiful. When I tell them that’s what I think, they call me self absorbed. It’s not like I run down the street screaming: “I’M BEAUTIFUL!”, they ask for my opinion, and I give it to them. I really like myself, is that self absorbed? I don’t compare other people to me, or anything. I keep it to myself.

It doesn’t sound like it, if anything it sounds rather healthy. Confidence is a good thing, but not many people have it.

No way! I wish all girls, myself included, were like you! That’s confidence, and that’s rather rare these days, especially among females.

if thats your picture, then you are a very pretty girl. if you denied it that would be false modesty and the last thing us not as physically pretty people want to hear is someone beautiful trying to say they think they’re ugly. you are right to say you’re beautiful. its not conceited or self-absorbed. its the truth

I simply say ‘God made me, and He doesn’t make mistakes….any complaints, take it up with Him…..

It’s not self-absorbed. It’s confidence and that’s really what makes a girl beautiful! It’s better than a girl putting herself down all the time.
