Wow thats gross. I don’t think anyone in the right mind would shove a coat hanger up there and swirl it around. Thats disgusting. It did used to happen tho, which is a scary thought.

I think it’s fine :) I’ll ask my fellow advisors and if they think it should be locked I’ll go ahead but for now it can stay open.

some people use to do it in the older days when abortions were illegal and young girls were uneducated and desperate to get rid of the child. It is extremely dangerous and you can bleed to death and it can also leave you unable to have anymore children.

Death could result by hemorrhaging (uncontrollable bleeding) yourself by blindly gouging around inside. Once the pregnancy is started, the cervix closes. There is no way a coat hangar blindly inserted could work without tearing up the uterus and surrounding tissue. How about a roto-rooter, equally absurd.

Not so much now, it was in the olden days where there really wasn’t any other option and I guess women were willing to put themselves at risk of dying instead of having the child.

It’s crazy to think about though. These days people generally get an abortion but I’ve seen people on here asking what drugs they can take to kill their baby and it’s just insane what low some people will go to just to get rid of a child (abortion is a choice but when it comes to someone doing drugs, drinking, etc.) it’s just crazy.
