abandoned mice, hand raising

I found 4 abandoned mice, mother was caught in a trap.( petstore escapes) THey are about 2 weeks old, full coat and eyes still closed. I knew enough to keep them warm with a heating pad, stimuilate them to eliminate, and mix dog formula 2 parts to 3.

I have looked at numerous sites online but am stil a bit unsure what to do. I am used to dealing with livestock and puppies and kittens. I have never even dealt with mice this small.

WHere I worked wanted to kill the little babies, I thought I would try to help them out. any information would be greatly appreciated.

WEll I found that they HAVE to stay warm, and yes. THey cannot digest the solid foods yet. I used crushed high wuality dog food mixed with a few drops of formula. I put it in a bottle cap and mine were able to sniff it out, BUt only after of 4 days of bottle feeding. Micehave good instincts, so they are able to find food and water soruces naturally.

awww, thats sweet. I posted not that long ago a question about raising wild mice/rodents. They will go through a jumpy stage but if you handle them often, they should be tame. Do you plan to keep them as pets once they are old enough to be okk in eating on their own?

Just keep them warm, feed them mice food and whatever else they need. Dont let anyone hurt them! And the’ll be just fine.

I tried raising some about the same age and I tried feeding them seeds, lettuse, water, milk, fruits, dog food, but im not sure if they are eating it, a few of them have died and I can see the remaning mices health failing.. en I doing soemthing wrong???
