A tongue piercing?

advantages YOU SUCK * better I suppose. It looks good to some people

disadvantages It cost money. To get it done and to buy the tongue rings. It will possibly crack your back teeth and all causing dental problems. (the metal ones) Some will find it trashy and assume you’re a slut. AND IT MIGHT HURT.

There ARE no advantages… its just a piece of metal through your tongue. The ONLY reason to get it, is to look ‘cool’ …or to augment your appearance… nothing more.

I got mine done twice. I love the idea, but hated the aftermath! Your tongue swells. The first time I had to remove it cause it broke a tooth in the back on my mouth then the second time I had it in longer but then found out I was allergice to ring. So, if you really want to do this…make sure you know your ready to take care of it after the peicing is done and you know your not allergic to the ring. Hope that helps!

I’ve had mine done and it hurts like hell.. if you get it done its relly cool and everything but if you smoke like I do..then your tounge will swell up you wont be able to relly talk or eat for two weeks like me..and if you ever take it out and dont want it anymore it still will affect your speech alil not much tho..but its pretty cool I liked mine but I took it out..

That’s a myth…

I have my done.. I’ve had it done for almost a year now. It’s so cool. Just when you get it done you have to take extra care of your mouth because it can lead to infection, especially within the 3-6 weeks after you get it pierced. There aren’t many advantages other than it being cool to have, it feels funny in your mouth at first, but you’ll become attached really fast, when I take it out to clean it, I feel kinda naked without it. Also, depending on your age and sexual activities, and orientation.. lol It’s very cool to make out with, and is great for oral.. for both guys and girls.. (I know from personal experience) anywho… The disadvantages would be like, having the metal balls that could chip your teeth if you play with it too much. And metal in your mouth all the time isn’t good but you can wear plastic bars and balls to make up for that.

I have my tongue pierced and I love it. The only disadvantage really is that I cant say my T’s properly anymore. Other wise its great and my boyfriend thinks so too ;) IF you take care of it properly and take your time when eating/chewing there will be no problems with chipping teeth etc, mine are fine! x

I have two tongue piercings, one right after the other.

I love it, and it does have it’s down falls.

When you’re getting it doe, you don’t really fell the needle, or I didn’t, but about three hours afterwords it starts to swell.

And the swelling hurts more than anything, it almost isn’t even worth it.

The worst of it last three days on each one of mine. But it all starts to feel normal again after about two weeks.

Take EXTRA care of you’re mouth, I carried mouthwash on me for months. and if you smoke, like myself, make sure to rinse your mouth after, just to be safe.
