What to wear to an 80's party?

okay… we had 80’s day at school last year… and me and my friend dressed up as 80 yr. old women… it was pretty funny…

just an idea… and i know.. its not “cute and sexy” but its funny…

The Madonna outfit is a good suggestion. You could also do the Olivia Newton-John, “Let’s Get Physical” get-up…the spandex pants, the sweatband tied around the head, the big hair.

(Oh great, now I’m going to be thinking about that song all day…LOL!)

I would go with Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan (80s movie) – black bustier,black pants, kind of big hair with a ribbon/headband, fingerless lace gloves, lots of bangles, big cross necklace, Rayban wayfarer sunglasses (can probably get look-alikes at the DollarStore), funky little bolero type jacket.. I’ll try to find a photo… Have fun! And see the movie - it’s really cute!

Too bad I don’t know you personally… I have SO many clothes from a couple 80s parties that are just sitting in storage.

LEGWARMERS! And for shoes, some converse or jellie shoes. Then wear a big baggy shirt with a little belt around your waist, and bright colored leggings, with the leg warmers over them. Tease your hair & make it look messy. Wear a headband in it too. Wear lots of accessories, like neon colored slap bracelets. Remember, these should be crazy colors- lime green, yellow, hot pink, blaze orange. :D Good luck! :D
