I find songs by Evanescence to be very poetic as they are full of emotion and some even have their own storyline. They are all sung by Amy Lee who is a very talented singer :3 <3 Some more poetic songs are You (a love song), My Immortal (about a spirit haunting you, dedicated to a former guitarist’s grandfather), October (about hope), Anywhere (a love song XD) ect.

When you do the part about how the songs are like a poem, you should think about poetic elements. I am sure you have been taught this in school But things like metaphor, simile’s, hyperboles, imagery, symbolism, maybe even rhyming. Look for those elements in the songs you chose.
