1st time meeting a guy

I’ve met a guy (hes 16)on the internet and he lives in the same area as mee but hes training in the army and hes due back next month he wants to meet me we have been chatting on the phone for a long time since christmas 08 but he has never seen me before propperly hes seen a few pictures and thats it . he says he really likes my personality but he seems like one of these guys that would go for skinny blonde type of girl I dont know what to do or say I’ve told him he wont like me when he meets me because of my weight and im only 5ft and hes 6ft 1 I just dont know wheather to meet him or not ..? HELP !

I’d go meet him. You never know, you may fall in love. I met the love of my life online. When I was getting ready for the first date with him, I was 1000% positive that he wouldn’t like me and we’d never talk again after that…but boy…was I wrong. We’ve been together a year come next month and I love him more than anything. So, I’d say go meet him. Try not to worry too much, and most definitely have A LOT of confidence in yourself when you meet him. You may be wrong about him liking the blond, skinny types, and he’s seen your pics so he know s what you look like (and he’s still talking to you!). So, relax! Your Aunt will be there too, so that may take some stress off. But you never know, you may end up finding that one guy that may sweep you off your feet.

my auntie said she will come with me the 1st time I meet him just to make sure everything is ok and he is telling me the truth about who he is its more of a self concius (sorry for the spelling) issue I just dont know what to doo im home schooled soo I dont have many friends ..

I mean, I’ve known two girls in the past over the internet. One I went out with the other I became real good friends. But this was in the past, I don’t talk to neither of them and have lost contact. It would be nice to talk to them again, this is life. And my point is, meeting someone over the internet can be both tragic and otherwise be where you find your soulmate. But there is a very big risk of a potential tragic regret you know. I know how it is to get close with someone over the internet, but in the end we just drift apart. I’m long-winding the point, it’s a big risk and just be safe. Go into the real world, and if your gonna socialize do it with someone you can clearly see and manage everything to your control.
