what do you mean by 225
You stretch your limbs. Feel the sun on your face. You stand on the dock, waiting for your ship. This voyage is very important to you. It is as personal as it is dangerous. But - you’ve hired a fantastic captain. With a pristine ship and crew to back him. The funds you’ve put forward, will reduce this risk. You’ve ensured it. And planned on it.
Standing at the dock, you wait. An hour after the scheduled meeting time, you see a strange looking ship slowing inching around the corner of the bay and head towards you. It slowly, at the speed of a drifting bottle, comes towards the dock. It has a strange sideways lean and is sitting low in the water. As it gets closer, the details becoming increasingly concerning. This ship doesn’t look like the brochure. One half of this vessel burnt, as if it had been on fire. 2 of the sails have gunshot holes in them, from what looks like a recent battle. There’s a canon ball hole in the flank of ship just above the water line. It llimps to the dock, finally coming to a bumping stop. It seems to lean on the dock, desperate to be away from the ocean out there. The captain gets out. He comes skipping down the dock towards you, with a shit-eating grin, as if everything is normal. He immediately asks for your money. And then urges you to get on the ship, …it will be a long voyage and storms are coming. As he says this, you can see bubbles coming up the side of the boat, as if it is leaking. Would you give this man your money? Would you get on this boat with him? And ride that soon-to-be driftwood towards the horizon? You are god damn right you wouldn’t. And he wouldn’t get a penny from you. The other end of the bargain was not kept, it was a conditional agreement. And - it is no longer in your best interest to continue with this bargain - this voyage will need to be delayed. Now, if getting on this ship, was the only means of saving your mother’s life, or vice-a-versa, the story might be different. Unconditional love can drag us to treacherous waters. Outside of that - accountability and reciprocity are the soul of any relationship. They are the in and the out. The means of getting off a sinking ship, finding land, a life raft, or landing yourself in a shootout with pirates. In a relationship, you both get on the boat willingly, with a general understanding of the rules of navigation. If those rules are broken you are free to leave. Or have the traitor walk the plank. In cases where your partner is highly susceptible to cheating i would suggest villahacker001 at gmail. com
