Maids do all kinds of things. Both in hotels and your home. but here are 10 things that, well, your maid should obviously not be doing hahaha.
Taken from reddit:
So there I am, working in my office and browsing reddit while I wait for my coffee to start working when I get told by an agent that I need to come up front asap. I step out and see a lady who is nearly foaming at the mouth with rage. Understandable given what she tells me next. "Your employee is in my bed, watching TV and eating popcorn! This is unacceptable!"
Unless for sure it's cosplay. Or you're doing it for your husband or boyfriend. Or you're a sex worker disguised as a maid.
Unless you are specifically given permission by the homeowner or the hotel.
Take items from the home without the homeowner or hotel's permission. There are countless stories online of maids who take stuff and end up being in big trouble for it.
Duh. You never want to do this. Especially if the lady of the house finds out. Unless its with her consent. Seriously, even if everyone wants you to, your job would suffer in the end. Don't shit where you eat!
You should never do this. Loose lips sink ships. Never talk about anything going on in your employer's home or hotel, unless it's illegal. Duh.
Don't have parties or friends over when your employer is away. You'll always be found out.
Just watch the movie "Parasites" for a humorous and horrible example of this.
Keep your fingers and eyes to yourself. Don't snoop in your employees secret places, or places where you clearly need to clean.
Nothing irks a homeowner more than not being able to find something after a cleaning. You could well be accused of stealing, just because they could not find it.
You're there to cleanup almost everything. That's your job. Never judge the homeowner about things that they have. They probably feel guilty about having to ask someone already.
