Series on youtube?

Ok so here’s the thing I’ve been sorta been having ideas in my head for a new show of DBZ(Dragon Ball Z) and I’ve already got the plot and characters set I just need to write the script and develop the cartoons. My friend already did the logo for the name.Well I’ve been hearing about Dragon Ball AF and just thought it was absurd I mean super saiyan 10000x? like are you kidding me?And my friends have been urging me to bring it back to life, and I told them if they could get a petition with 500 people on it I’d consider it and they had 513 sigs and so I felt I needed to do it and I mean c’mon it’s a good plot and well I was hoping to launch it on youtube by June this year and I was wondering If I should go through with it and if I would get in trouble with the creator Akira toriyama or whoever owns the rights to DBZ. Or if I did a good enough job they wouldn’t sue me and they’d consider taking up the show.So what are your thoughts?Should I go for it or not?I also had other questions but I forgot…I’ll ask again when I member. (and if your gonna say leave it alone they ended it for a reason just give the pilot a chance.I think it’s about time vegeta had his turn instead of goku…don’t you think)

Answer #1

go for it I mean they gotta have billions really so it wouldnt benifit them much suing you the worst they would do is take your vids off youtube due to copyright claims. but theres no point in not trying cause you never know maybe youll do so good they will hire you as an animator. if they do remeber skrilla93

Answer #2

If you have the creative skill and ability go for it, just make sure you do not use the DBZ characters, names, likeness, music, voices, or anything to do with it for ANY TYPE OF COMMERCIAL GAIN.

You can’t put ads up, or sell memberships or you will get sued.

You will need to put up a large disclaimer stating that it is a fan project and done as an appreciation and homage to the real series and not intended in any shape or form to infringe on the copyrights of the creators and owners of the series and characters.

If you are still nervous, send a typed letter to the home office of whomever owns it, asking for permission to create a fan fiction show for non-commercial purposes.

A Warning however- Making animation is TIME CONSUMING an TEDIOUS.
