If you were my parent
This is a random and the 3rd last Goth question of mine,if I were you were your son would you accept me as a Goth one or would you get mad and throw a HUGE fit?
Well if my son was REALLY a goth then he wouldn’t label himself and/or make a big deal out of it. He wouldn’t listen to music because it was tagged “goth” but because he really liked it.
To be honest, I can’t see what you could possibly get from being a goth except looking like a woman = you will never get a girlfriend.
I would tell my son to re-evaluate the reason why he wanted to be a goth.
if I was your parent I wouldnt get mad at you because they way yours dressing and music that your into is your own way of expressing your feelings.this doesnt mean that you will be into this style forever.I was the same way in high school but than I outgrew it.it might be a faze but it might not but your parents should except that.its not like your wearing mini skirts and tube tops.
I know Im to young to be thinking of what I would and would not allow out of my kids but this seemed a total me question so here I am! If my son said he wanted to be goth, then Id support what he wants. If he wanted to do something that made him happy (or hate the world and become nonconformist as the case may be) I wouldnt stop him. He should be able to find himself and who he wants to be in his own way. My mom disagrees with me being punk (even though I dont wear black lipstick and practice voo-doo) But she agrees that I should do what I want so that I can be my own person and find myself. Thats how I was raised and thats how Im gonna raise my kids.
I accept all my children along with their desire to be individuals.
There is little my kids could do that would make me not accept them.
To be anything is to express yourself the way you want to be seen as, goth, prep, emo, whatever. I would accept anyone, a friend, boyfriend, sibling or son/daughter for who they are, and never try to change them.
I woulnt care I would just accept him 4 who he is…
