What if you catch a drug charge while working in childcare ,but have not been found guilty can the day care fire you?

I would say yes. No offense, but when you’re working around children they could probably fire you for a lot less. And not that many parents want someone to take care of their children that does drugs

yes I would of thought so. Childcare is a high responsibility especially when they arent your kids e.g day nurseries, they shouldnt let anyone with a record of drugs violence etc around young children whether they have been convicted or not. but my sister worked in a lot of day nurseries before and the grim reality of it is… they actually do let them. E.g in my sisters day nurseries shes been at, unsupervised nappy changes (when the girl shouldnt be changing nappies unsupervised as she hadnt had a police check)..No police checks, a few staff in various child enviroments with criminal records, Juniors not being supervised with children, and the worst I’ve ever heard, a toddler got out of the nursery through the gap in a fence and all the way down a main road when a man picked him up in a car and took him back to the nursery to see if they had a child missing, that man could of been a pervert, it’s disgusting.

no, not unless you are convicted. But they can suspend you pending the outcome of your case.
