John 8.58 with Exod 3.14 "I am". Rev 1.18:"I am He, 1.17:"I am the first and last", Luke 22.70:"...ye say that I am." (never denied it). Jesus did not say "I was", but "I am". By saying "I am", he claimed to be the Creator of the universe. This does away with Rutherford and Russell's JW's teachings. There are 417 "I am's" in the King James Bible, and God (Jesus) said them all.
John 14.28: "...for my Father is greater then I". This becomes the "proof text" of the "NO HELLERS" (JW's), for making "the Word" (John 1.1-2) "A" god instead of "God".
No need to run to any Greek text, the statement is not a theological statement on the nature of the Trinity. The speaker here (Jesus) is about to die as a human being--not as a member of the Trinity. Don't forget, there are TWO natures of Jesus, just as a saved born again person has two natures, the old man and the new man.
Hebrews 5.8-9 is the statement that shows WHY "the Father is greater" than his Son. It all has to do with His EARTHLY life as a man. The very idea of God the Father having to learn obedience because He wasn't "PERFECT".

CHRISTIANS are commanded to "make disciples of people of all the nations," but this does not mean that they are to use pressure or convert others by force. Jesus' commission was to "tell good news to the meek ones," to "bind up the brokenhearted," to "comfort all the mourning ones." (Matthew 28:19; Isaiah 61:1, 2; Luke 4:18, 19) Jehovah's Witnesses seek to do this by declaring the good news from the Bible. Like the prophet Ezekiel of old, Jehovah's Witnesses today try to find those who "are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done."—Ezekiel 9:4.
The best-known way they use to find those who are distressed by present conditions is by going from house to house. Thus they make a positive effort to reach the public, just as Jesus did when "he went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God." His early disciples did likewise. (Luke 8:1; 9:1-6; 10:1-9) Today, where it is possible, Jehovah's Witnesses endeavor to call at each home several times a year, seeking to converse with the householder for a few minutes on some local or world topic of interest or concern. A scripture or two may be offered for consideration, and if the householder shows interest, the Witness may arrange to call back at a convenient time for further discussion. Bibles and literature explaining the Bible are made available, and if the householder desires, a home Bible study is conducted free of charge. Millions of these helpful Bible studies are conducted regularly with individuals and families throughout the world.
Therefore, Jehovah's Witnesses try to recommend the good news to others in this way also: by being exemplary in the Christian conduct that they recommend to others. They try to 'do unto others as they would have others do unto them.' (Matthew 7:12) They try to be this way with all men, not just with fellow Witnesses, friends, neighbors, or relatives. Being imperfect, they do not always succeed 100 percent. But it is the desire of their hearts to do good unto all people not only in telling them the good news of the Kingdom but also in extending a helping hand whenever possible.—James 2:14-17.
We want to only help people and follow Jesus Christ as our example.
First things first Trinity.
“I and the Father are one,” said Jesus. (John 10:30) Some quote this text to prove that Jesus and his Father are two parts of a triune God. Is that what Jesus meant by this statement?
Let us take a look at the context. In verse 25, Jesus stated that he did works in the name of his Father. From verses 27 to 29, he talked about symbolic sheep whom his Father had given him. Both statements by Jesus would have made little sense to his listeners if he and his Father were one and the same person. Instead, Jesus said, in effect, ‘My Father and I are so close-knit that no one can take away the sheep from me, just as no one can take them away from my Father.’ It is much like a son saying to his father’s enemy, ‘If you attack my father, you attack me.’ No one would conclude that this son and his father were the same person. But all could perceive the strong bond of unity between them.
Jesus and his Father, Jehovah God, are also “one” in the sense that they are in complete agreement as to intentions, standards, and values. In contrast with Satan the Devil and the first human couple, Adam and Eve, Jesus never wanted to become independent of God. “The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing,” Jesus explained. “For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.”—John 5:19; 14:10; 17:8.
This strong bond of unity, however, does not make God and his Son, Jesus, indistinguishable from each other. They are two individuals. Each one has his own distinct personality. Jesus has his own feelings, thoughts, experiences, and free will. Nevertheless, he chose to submit his will to that of his Father. According to Luke 22:42, Jesus said: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” These words would have been meaningless if his will could not differ from his Father’s. If Jesus and his Father were really one person, why did Jesus pray to God and humbly admit to not knowing things that only his Father knew?—Matthew 24:36.
History began with Creation, thats where the Bible begins. The "babbling & pagan god & erroneous history" is only the opinion of ignorant (lack of knowledge) people. Do more research on your own instead of believing what your "authority figures" are telling you.
Why you can believe the Bible and since the Bible is true, then you can believe in God,because the Bible speaks of Him existing.

Leviticus 17:10-16
10 “‘As for any man of the house of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who eats any sort of blood, I shall certainly set my face against the soul that is eating the blood, and I shall indeed cut him off from among his people. 11 For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for YOU to make atonement for YOUR souls, because it is the blood that makes atonement by the soul [in it]. 12 That is why I have said to the sons of Israel: “No soul of YOU must eat blood and no alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst should eat blood.”
13 “‘As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust. 14 For the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said to the sons of Israel: “YOU must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.” 15 As for any soul that eats a body [already] dead or something torn by a wild beast, whether a native or an alien resident, he must in that case wash his garments and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening; and he must be clean. 16 But if he will not wash them and will not bathe his flesh, he must then answer for his error.’”
I mentioned the catholic encyclopedia because they are the one's who mainly teach about the trinity, its even clear their!
Jesus, in his prehuman existence, was "the first-born of all creation." (Colossians 1:15, NJB) He was "the beginning of God's creation." (Revelation 3:14, RS, Catholic edition). "Beginning" [Greek, ar·khe'] cannot rightly be interpreted to mean that Jesus was the 'beginner' of God's creation. In his Bible writings, John uses various forms of the Greek word ar·khe' more than 20 times, and these always have the common meaning of "beginning." Yes, Jesus was created by God as the beginning of God's invisible creations.
Notice how closely those references to the origin of Jesus correlate with expressions uttered by the figurative "Wisdom" in the Bible book of Proverbs: "Yahweh created me, first-fruits of his fashioning, before the oldest of his works. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I came to birth; before he had made the earth, the countryside, and the first elements of the world." (Proverbs 8:12, 22, 25, 26, NJB) While the term "Wisdom" is used to personify the one whom God created, most scholars agree that it is actually a figure of speech for Jesus as a spirit creature prior to his human existence.
Second blood.
Back in the days of Noah, an ancestor of all mankind, God laid down a remarkable law. While granting humans the right to eat the flesh of animals, he forbade them to consume the blood. (Genesis 9:4) He also gave them his reason, equating blood with the soul, or life, of the creature. He later said: “The soul [or life] is in the blood.” In the eyes of the Creator, blood is sacred. It represents the precious gift of life that each living soul possesses. God restated this principle again and again.—Leviticus 3:17; 17:10, 11, 14; Deuteronomy 12:16, 23.
Shortly after Christianity was founded some 2,000 years ago, believers were given the divine commandment to “abstain from . . . blood.” The prohibition was based, not on health concerns, but on the sacredness of blood. (Acts 15:19, 20, 29) Some argue that this God-given restriction applies only to the eating of blood, but the word “abstain” speaks for itself. If a doctor told us to abstain from alcohol, we would hardly feel at liberty to inject it into our veins.
Jehovah God is the Creator. (Revelation 4:11) He is without beginning or end, and he is almighty. (Psalm 90:2) Jesus, on the other hand, had a beginning. (Colossians 1:15, 16) Referring to God as his Father, Jesus said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) Jesus also explained that there were some things neither he nor the angels knew but that were known only by his Father.—Mark 13:32.
Moreover, Jesus prayed to his Father: “Let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) To whom was Jesus praying if not to a superior Personage? Furthermore, it was God who resurrected Jesus from the dead, not Jesus himself. (Acts 2:32) Obviously, the Father and the Son were not equal before Jesus came to the earth or during his earthly life. What about after Jesus’ resurrection to heaven? First Corinthians 11:3 states: “The head of the Christ is God.” In fact, the Son will always be in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28) The Scriptures therefore show that Jesus is not God Almighty. Instead, he is God’s Son.
THE Bible was originally written in ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. So most people who desire to read it must rely on a translation.
Bible translations cover a broad spectrum of styles, but they fall into three basic categories. Interlinear translations are at one end of the spectrum. These translations contain the original-language text along with a word-for-word rendering into the target language.
Paraphrase translations fall at the other end of the spectrum. Translators of these versions freely restate the message of the Bible as they understand it in a way that they feel will appeal to their audience.
A third category embraces translations that endeavor to strike a balance between these two extremes. These versions of the Bible strive to convey the meaning and flavor of the original-language expressions while also making the text easy to read.

I've had Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and various others come to my door.
I'm generally cordial but something always bothered about door-to-door proselytizers. They consider themselves to be missionaries and they consider me to be a heathen. Doesn't it seem a little insulting to anyone else that there are people who go around so sure they are right and I am evil and wrong that it is their duty to save me from myself?
You did not invite these people to your house so you have no obligation to hear them out or even to be polite or respectful. Any courtesy you show them is far more than they deserve.
One of the things that I don't like about JW's is their rabid hatred of Catholicism. They have left some material that was so virulently anti-Catholic that I have no patience for them; I criticize the RCC often but the conspiracy theories JW's promote are beyond the pale.
The Father, the Son (Jesus0 and the Holy Spirit each had part in the resurrection. Look them up, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit each raised Jesus from the dead. (Of course, it may be different in your nwt, that reads the same as the niv, and all "modern bible" are from corrupt catholic MSS). Paul said "..grace of the Lord Jesus...and love of God...the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all" (sounds like a Trinity to most rational readers. Also look up the word "Godhead" in the NT, meaning "trinity". As said before, the KJ 1611AV Bible says, you just denied Jesus and now don't have the Father God. People really need to study on their own and stop believing what "authority figures" tell them.

"Godhead" (Acts 17.29, Romans 1.20, Col 2.9) is the Biblical word for "Trinity". 2 Cor 13.14 mentions the Trinity. You say Jesus is another God begotten in eternity...the begotting took place when Jesus was born of Mary (Heb 1.6, John 1.1). [True Christians wouldn't look in a catholic encyclopedia for the time of day]. Didn't you look in the NT? The "soul sleep" mentioned: read Genesis 50.3, 49.33, 35.18, 35.29 and tell us that is soul sleep. WHILE the word "Trinity" is not found in the Bible,
The Encyclopedia of Religion admits: "Theologians today are in agreement that the Hebrew Bible does not contain a doctrine of the Trinity." And the New Catholic Encyclopedia also says: "The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the O[ld] T[estament]."
An examination of the Hebrew Scriptures themselves will bear out these comments. Thus, there is no clear teaching of a Trinity in the first 39 books of the Bible that make up the true canon of the inspired Hebrew Scriptures.
its not just Johovah's Witnesses ive had american Mormons knock my door,a saviour in Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." some people follow that, and people should respect the fact there preaching to people because they only want to spread what there religion is about. these two old women,who are Johovah's witnesses,come out in the cold weather knock my door and i actually take the time to listen to them and what they have to say.
They believe in 2 Gods (John 1) in the NWT. They therefore do not believe in the Trinity as one God, but three persons. The Trinity is 1x1x1=1God (Father,Son,Holy Spirit). Man has 3 parts body,soul,spirit 1x1x1=1man. The Bible says to not eat or drink blood (could get bad germs), the JW"s take that to mean no blood transfusions. There is a difference ya know? Their religion requires it of them. Its not a choice for them. That is why i ALWAYS make sure that i am polite to them and kindly explain that i have my own beliefs and i hope they have a nice day. People who are rude to them are ignorant imo. I've talked to some of the teens that come door to door and they dread it because of the way people treat them. Its fine to not want to talk to them or agree with them, but people should atleast be polite about it.

JW's are bringing a different gospel to people's doors, a gospel of works. The Bible says if "anyone" preaches a different gospel than Salvation by Grace, they gonna be in deep trouble. As the catholics do, the JW's call their system "Christian", but do not follow Biblical doctrine, therefore: not Christian.
Part of their requirments is to knock on 755 doors. As the mormon requirements, one is 2yrs missionary duty somewhere. Our house is on the JW's list to by-pass, don't stop, king's X on this door, cause I have studied their cult beliefs and counter their so-called "christian doctrines".

the Bible does not have "a message". It has the words of God in it. The Bible (KJ1611AV) is a history book, not a "religious book", but it does tell us how to stay out of hell.
