How do I stop stress eating?

When im upset, stressed depressed or anxious I eat. In less than 2 months im going on a vacation where I will have to wear much less clothes than normal being that its somewhat tropical. Meh. Even thinking about it is making me want to binge. How can I stop myself from eating? Im already terrified about people seeing how I look and this added weight gain from the past few weeks is not helping!!

Start writing instead, or excersize when your down. I know it sounds crazy, but it works for me.

Try buying healthy foods instead of snack foods, so if you get the urge to binge there wont be anything to binge on (you’re a lot less likely to go out to actually buy something to binge on)

stop eating or find another way to make yourself feel better! talk to someone, hit something (not someone), cry, scream, (don’t hit yourself), write how you feel on a piece of paper, etc. try to keep your fridge snacksless, lol, then you will go like, ummm, I’m not in the mood to make a sandwich/ cook (or whatever you’re eating) have some fruits instead of eating chocolates, chips, etc.
