Not ‘Waltzing Matilda’…it encompasses NO classic Australian values or traditions at all…Waltzing Matilda is, briefly, a song about a tramp who camps by a creek and steals a sheep. Three policemen arrive; rather than submit to capture, the tramp commits suicide by drowning himself in the creek.

The Australian Anthem is lame, and has little to do with our history…

In 1974 ‘Advance Australia Fair’ was adopted as the Australian National Anthem; however in 1976 ‘God Save The Queen’ was reinstated. In 1984 the Australian National Anthem, consisting of the tune of ‘Advance Australia Fair’ and the verses as drafted by the National Australia Day Council, was proclaimed. In 1977 the Australian Electoral Office conducted a poll for the national anthem tune in conjunction with a referendum. The tune ‘Advance Australia Fair’ was the preferred option. In 1981 the National Australia Day Council recommended that the Australian National Anthem consist of two verses of ‘Advance Australia Fair ‘with some modification.

Unless you’re a single-minded hillbilly, you all must agree with me that Advance Australia Fair is very racist, as it states that our country is ‘young and fee’, implying that the country isn’t very old, ignoring the great history of our indigenous ancestors. It completely deletes the participation of aboriginals from the country and it must be changed. I Still Call Australia Home is much better, but I couldn’t care less what it is changed to, as long as somebody f**king changes it!…

why not they changed everything here. even our new dollar coin does not even say “ In god we trust” and we don’t say “on nation under god” in our pledge in schools. just let it be said I don’t agree with any of it, you should not change what your country was built on

pretty sure they’d change to some fucking shit like “you’re the voice” I think it should be changed to a)carrion (or any parkway drive song) or b)The Deepest Sleep (I killed The Prom Queen) wait no never never land (also IKTPQ) because it contains the classic line (from the rock) “losers always whine about their best, winners go home and fuck the prom queen”
