How did the rise of the factory system change the american family?

Answer #1

Well it began pulling more people on from foreign places for jobs. Also since the factorys needed a moveing river supply, people had to stay alond water sources. This made rural areas empty because people would leave them xD.

Now since they had to leave there homes to work, the factorys had to make houses for them. Now the hours were harsh and there wasent exactly a union so Shrug it was tough. But eventually things became more stable and the economy boosted and working was easier!
