What's a good way to get to sleep at night?

I have trouble sleeping at night and i do take pills for it, but they dont always help even though nothings on my mind. I also shower before bed bt that never makes me sleepy. What might be some good techniques to do or foods to eat/drink?

experiment with stuff, a lot of people like to have a fan on. Not only for the breeze but the constant low level noise it makes. Some nights I need the tv on but ill turn the volume down to like level 2. (that hypnotizing blue glow) Also I think they sell nighttime lotion. Thats more for females since you all have stronger noses. Lavender scented sounds familar.. helps you relax.

Whenever I have a hard time trying to go to sleep, I’ll read. It usually makes me tired.

Warm milk, maybe with a bit of honey, its what most doctors would recommend first

try relaxing before. dont use electronics before going to bed because those keep you awake

think. not kinding. lay down close your eyes and think of one topic and the aspects about it.
