You do not sleep uniformly throughout the night but go through sleep cycles. If your alarm goes off when you are in deep sleep it will be difficult to awaken but if you are in the the light phase of your sleep cycle than it is much easier. My sleep cycles seem to be about 3 hours. I find I can easily awaken if I get about 3, 6, or 9 hours of sleep but getting up is tough after 4.5 or 7.5 hours of sleep when I'm sleeping the deepest. A trick I used to use was to go to sleep thinking about the time I needed to get up. When I was younger 99% of the time I'd awaken just before that time. I only set my alarm clock as insurance to cover the 1% of the time I didn't. I seem to have lost the ability to do that; probably because I usually don't get enough sleep any more.
oh no im sorry :( ...i though you ment like a alarm that detects bombs or something...lol...i was just being stupid....sorry...your rite...it's like a alarm clock that sounds like a bomb rite? sorry
loud alarm on the other side of the room so it forces you to get up to turn it off. It's what I do.
