The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet - Meaning of Each Line?

Could Someone pls explain this into plain english? I’m going to make a new poem expressing my love life. Im going to take some lines from the book and either edit it or/and add my own.

pls try to explain each as much as you can. You can skip it if you dont want to.

  1. What sadness lengthens Romeo’s hours? Can it also be like this: What sadness lengthens hours?

  2. Not having that, which, having, makes them short.

3)Out of her favor, where I am in love.

  1. Alas, that love, so gentle in his view, Should be so tyrannous and rough in proof!

b)can I change this to: Alas, that love, so gentle in MY view, Should be so tyrannous and rough in proof! <— Will it still be the same?

  1. Why, such is love’s transgression. Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, Which thou wilt propagate, to have it prest With more of thine: this love that thou hast shown Doth add more grief to too much of mine own.

  2. Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs; Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers’ eyes; Being vex’d a sea nourish’d with lovers’ tears: What is it else? a madness most discreet, A choking gall and a preserving sweet.

Pls Answer as much as you can. If you want to skip then you can as long as you answer one or more.

You could use both adjustments you made, however it would change the way the story is told. Instead of it being 3rd person, you would be changing it to first person. In removing “Romeo’s” and inserting “my” you are effectively changing the voice of the story.
