Do you think the SOPA Bill (Stop Online Piracy Act) will pass?

From at least two sites now, I have seen something called the SOPA bill, which is censorship of the net. Do you think this will actually pass? If it does, a ton of sites will end up closing down, and I use a couple of sites like pokefarm and smartphowned

That depends. Have you called or written to your congressional representative yet?

I highly doubt it, but we need to do all that we can to make SURE that it doesn’t. It’s totalitarian and awful. So sign every petition you see, do whatever you can.

As much as I would like to see it not pass into law, I have all the confidence in the world that it will. It is another oppressive move by corporations to control the people of the U.S.. The problem with a law like this is that it is just the beginning of massive abuses to be perpetrated on the American people.

Here is ONE current example of such an abuse:

Our elected officials’ reluctance to legislate genetic modified organisms (food in this case) has allowed the PepsiCo, Kraft and Nestle companies to legally use aborted fetal embryo cells in the development of their foods and drinks like Pepsi, Kraft mac & cheese, even Quaker oatmeal (to enhance flavor).

If this bill isnt stopped, it will quell healthy competition through similar abuses.
