Currupted data :(

I play pokemon emerlad with a visualboy on my computer..and anytime I battle the elite 4 an the games restarts it says the data is currupted an my saved file is lost .:(…how can I stop this from happening???…please help me…

the only thing I would blame is your virtual boy what probably has happened is your chip has been scratched and it is formatting your game for what it thinks is “safety” you could always buy another v-boy
