I have, literally, thousands of cookbooks, cooking magazines, etc., and I've been indexing my favourite recipes out of each one so I don't need the book any more. I'd like to give them to someone who can use them ... any ideas? (not Craigslist - we don't have that here)
Any youth groups in your area ..... . ..... like Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Hitler-Youth etc., ? . They could come in handy as part of their training schemes which include domestic cooking and camp cooking. If they are not suitable for that they can sell them at their fund-raising events.
Best wishes - Majikthise. .
My ex- donated hers to a high school Home Ec department.
I wish I kept a few of them. Some of her older ones didn't even have temperatures for baking but used terms like cool, slow, medium, hot, and fast to indicate how hot the oven should be. Some other jems were calling cantaloupes musk melons and avocados alligator pears.
Garage sale is a great option but if you don't like the work then i would donate them to the people less fortunate (like organizations you have by you). Another thing you could do is give some to your friends to take to work and see if anyone wants them.
It has wurst, wurst, wurst, bread, wurst, wurst, wurst, sauerkraut and beer. And wurst. And potato lumps with sauerkraut. And bratwurst, Bavarian veal-sausage, wiener wurst (annexed) and Cracower wurst (oppressed). With beer.
You could give them to goodwill (anvets), give them to a church or a school (maybe they could export them to a country were they are not very wealthy and would love to have them)
My mom takes stuff like that to the public library in her town which has a place where people can drop off and pick up freebies.
LOLZ!!! Where can I get a copy of that Hitler Youth cookbook! :P
you can give your cookook to goodwill and any used book store :)
Give them to young people that want to learn how to cook
Maybe a food pantry in ur area, maybe shelters
