Do you think that most young people in the US military know what they are fighting for overseas?

I don’t think anyone does unless they have fought before

I think most young people go in the military because it gives them shelter money and schooling pretty much everything they need in life for a good career. But i do think as they get older they start to realize how much they make a difference from joining the military and what it does for our country.

They fight for the US military because they are paid to and that is their job. Some understand the politics of what they are doing, but many do not. Does anyone really know what we are fighting for overseas? The reasons seem to change and the view from our political leaders seems to shift over time.

hell no. The guys on top tell them what to do and they simply follow. They might be instructed that they are fighting for their own country, peace, etc. but in reality they can be fighting for the corporate people’s greedy asses. You just don’t know anymore. the media distorts everything and shows us not the truth but what we ‘they’ want us to see. Take a look at wikileaks for example.. all the hidden information that was kept from us..

Soldiers usually fight for country and pride or money as another opportunity but most fight for there own personnel reasons I’m gonna be a soldier for it’s a life long career and a stable one.
