What happens if you die in a dream like a fall?

I used to get dreams where I would be on a swing or something that goes high up then I would fall and right before I would hit the ground I would wake up in a sudden jump. What would have happened if I didn’t wake up?

-_- I wasn’t talking about like I fell. I mean, like I’ve had my throat slit in a dream. that’s something you’d die from in real life. but in a dream, it doesn’t matter. like, I sorta blacked out for a second, but still. STFU. lol. shrugs

well… either you’d wake up after you hit the ground, instead of before, or you’d just get up (in your dream) and start walking around again. I’ve had dreams where I died, and just got back up.
