What could I do to treat my dog at home with pervo?

I can afford the treatment for pervo @ my vets clicnic, so how do I help her beat pervo @ home?

True, if your puppy is at the vet for Parvo they may die. If your puppy is at home he probably will die. Parvo is a litter killer, meaning almost every puppy from that litter can get it and die. The puppy needs supportive care at a vet’s office. Home treatment is really not an option. Parvo is VERY CONTAGIOUS everything that this puppy has touched can be infected and spread to another dog. Puppies die from parvo much more often than adults (vaccines and improved immunity help them) I know it sounds bad and I understand the cost involved but that is what pet ownership is about. See if your vet has any payment plans. Good luck, I hope he makes it.

You understand, that your pup might not make it…but even at the Vets, all they do is supportive care 24/7…You’re going to need a few things…plain yogurt, pediolite…those are just a couple things…and lots of FULL TIME care and support…like every hour, night and day.

Here’s a couple of sites that will get you started on what you need to know and do.
