Yes I,m 44 years old with no children. I am trying to have a baby but it,s not happening.Something is missing out of my life and it is a child. When I was 21 yrss old I had a baby ,he passed away at 51/2 months. Please help me.
hey sorry to hear that happened to you,my brothers wife just had a baby at 44,she had also had a simular expierence,as yours when she was younger,I think some studies have proved that its safe,if your overall health is good, then just keep trying,if having a baby is what you want and it will make you happy, and your in good health then keep trying, but if a couple more years pass and still nothin..then you may have to consider adoption,as an alternative..which I personaly believe is a good thing...not only will you get your baby...but you will be saving the baby from a life of hardship, not only will you recieve a blessing but you will be giving one...im sure youll make a greatmother, and like any good mother, not only are they good with their own, their good with all children..and that makes a great mother...goodluck
if you havent started to go through menopause then youll probably still be able to have one youll need to go to the doctors so he can see how fertile you are as a lot of things can affect your fertiliy as well as age, theres exessive alcohol and drinking, and even having things like chlamidia and not getting it treated can affect it so first make sure the your able to have a baby, and everythings still working fine then make sure you have a suitable partner it usualy takes about a year for couples to conceive when there older so it might be something that will take a bit of time to happen also make sure your partner is also fertile as lots of things can affect a mans fertility as well

You sound like you would be a good parent! Whether or not it's safe mostly depends on genetics. If people in the family tend to have fast labors or have a history of unhealthy children at birth, it may be unsafe. I know my mother had my half-sister at 46 years of age. In my family, women tend to have fast labors and tend to be fertile later in life. People are having children at older and older ages! People are living longer and modern medicine has come very far. Just make your sure you are in good health and take all the precautions you can and it should be safe! Hope it works out!
I am 44 and trying for a baby for the first time. I did not conceive with my partner of 5 years so I have acquired the services of a sperm donor. We've had sex during one ovulation cycle and I did not conceive. I am going to try for a year, I may even look for a younger sperm donor but the one I am using has a very good success rate. Maybe you would consider a sperm donor? If any one has any experience of getting pregnant via IVF then please give details particularly if done abroad. I believe Denmark is good at this?
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your baby when you were 21 years old.
My husband and I had our first baby when I was 27 and because of family problems we had our second baby when I was 43 years old. Sadly, our baby passed away from an umbilical cord accident during the early labor. She was a beautiful baby and appeared very healthy.
Im now 44 years old and have been trying for a year to conceive again. I feel very healthy, but have many emotional wounds from losing the baby last year.
Many people have babies with mental and physical problems and disabilities in their 20's and 30's too. And most have healthy babies in their 40's - the screening is fantastic nowdays to identify downs at an early stage. Don't let scaremongers put you off - it's too important.good luck. PS: I had mine at 32, 34, 41 and am now 44 and pregnant with baby no,4 and delighted.
If thats what your missing in your life then go for it! With medical help nowdays there enough help out there to make things safe for you! If you're bodys still able to make children then everything will be ok!! Good luck with everything im sure you'll make an amazing mother! And Sorry to hear about your little one.
Good Luck!! x
Some women of 44 do have babies, others (including a friend of mine) find it's too late. She's thought about adoption - is that something you've considered? I guess the first thing to do would be to speak to your doctor to try to find out your chances of conceiving. Very best wishes...
In addition to your personal safety, keep in mind that the odds of having a child with Down's Syndrome increases dramatically for women the older they get.
have a baby who cares your meant to have 1 so have 1 its mint having a baby and youll grow up a little bit oh and you get heapsa attention lol
