Now that our outgoing Vice President's been indicted (it's on reuters & other news outlets) do you think he'll go to jail? I find his investments in privatized prisons fascinating, personally...it's like you profit from finding excuses to take money away from the government (b/c you can't pay taxes if you're in jail full time).
OR do you think because the indictment was over something that occured in 2001, and in Texas no less (is that how you spell Irony) that the charges are trumped up and won't stick?
I agree with Toadaly on this. A judge still has to sign off on the indictment, and that is unlikely.
If the Dems had had a backbone the past two years, he would already be indicted. I am sure there is plenty of evidence to convict him on many different counts. We will see if the dems are willing to do something about all of Bush & Cheney's criminal activity after Obama is sworn in when they can't hide behind executive privalege anymore.
If the dems do nothing, it will have nothing to do with whether there was anything there. It will be about not wanting to rock their politcal boat too much. I will be very upset if they abandon investigations.
What exactly has nancy pelosi done that could possibly match lying about WMDs and starting a war that kills hundreds of thousands, illegally wiretapping american citizens, and torturing prisoners?
I can't find any information on the story, other than he was indicted and it had something to do with prisoner abuse. My guess is it's not going stick.
