My prayers are with you and hope that one day someone would help you in your misery . I had chances and times that I could of blamed God . Thinking he hated me and the hard times I went through just give up . But once I got my life right and started studying more my life has been a lot better and yes I have become closer to God . My own free will . No one forced it on me and No one pushed it on me . See you all speak as if most push it on you and your right some try too , but that is not the way a True Christain is . Christains pray for one another as we as those who are not saved . If someone { one of you asked me a question in person } I would sit with you and talk to you yes but only if you wanted to talk with me about it . I dont hate anyone I dont care if you believe or not . Just pray for those who seem to need it . Just as last night all these people on here I prayed for the so many of the confussed and the non believers that they get their answers and that they find some peace in their hearts and lives . It is sad that you have so many troubles in your lives and no peace . I am just glad I finally do and someone I can go to talk too. I have one friend that nearly lost her life to a croppling desease and should of been bedriden but she is up and praising God for this miricle he gave her she is enjoying her grandbaby and just living a life God has given her . He worked in my life big time . I use to drink a lot and smoke a lot of drugs , one would of said I was a alcholoic but , once I got back in church and started strightening out my life God took that taste of all that out of me and I dont drink no more or smoke any more . so tell me , I am at real peace with my God .yes I pray everyday and read my bible . I have troubles but I know my God is in charge of my life and he handles all my problems . He is the Head of my house hold and will always be . And to let you know there are bad christians here . Their actions show it . I’m FAR more at peace now, than when I was just another theist. That sense of peace and solace, came after months of religious research, when I ultimately realized that ALL religion has but ONE PURPOSE: they’re just poorly-written explanations for the unexplainable.

A large percentage of the global population NEEDS this ‘explanation’ in order to function and be happy… case in point. But fortunately, people are becoming smarter.

Mankind DOES have limitations. And to accept that there are certain things we just do not and cannot know… has opened my eyes and my mind far more than ANY man-made excuse ever could.

im christian and a lot of my friends are athiest or just dont care. and I accept them for who they are. im not going to neglect them. my boyfriend isnt christian and I accept him for that. but I always encourage them to think about it more because evolution is just fu*kin retarded and whoever made it up should be smacked =)

I think a lot of people are spiritually inhibited by religon.

I think free-thinkers are uninhibited in so many aspects and levels.

I am a Christian, and I don’t despise anyone. I feel that as long as there is breath in ones body, the chance still exists to come into faith.

I think that people should stop and take the time to think about there religion and if they dont have\on they should because im a proud Christian and when I see atheists its makes me sad as well :(

I had god damn johovas witnesses knock on my door on christmas day morning - at about 9 am - how god damn dare they! seriously, normally I am very polite and like ‘no thanks’ this time I was like “are you kidding me? it’s christmas day morning and you have just made me get up, tell my kids to stop unwrapping their gifts becuase you know you’re gunna cathc people in”

They think they’re rather odd because they don’t look at life the same way If you think about it, if you subscribe to a single religious belief, you subject all your actions, choices and thoughts toward it so anyone more free thinking and not so tied down to one establishment is considered a bit different and I think everyone knows how people who are different are treated like CRAP its human nature, looking at the ones who don’t think the same results in instant discrimination I’m an athiest but I live in a rather large religious community my best friend is a Christian I think if one wants to be religious, thats a lovely choice but sticking their lifestyle in anothers face is just plain rude

Most atheists think about religion far more than religious people who go to church everyday. Since most atheists (atleast on this site) grew up in households where their parents/guardians were religious, they obviously thought about it and decided against it… most religious people on the other hand simply follow their parent’s beliefs… dont pressume people dont think about something simply because they choose not to agree with you…

It makes me sad that you continue to frame our religious (or irreligious) views this way. It’s like you think we sit down and say, “I can either choose to follow God and be righteous and go to heaven, or I can reject God, and lead a life of rebellion against him. I’ll go with option B.”
