Why do people think teen pregnancy is bad?

It’s bad because teens are still considered children. They are still learning how to take care of themselves, let alone a child of their own. It also makes them irresponsible for not being more careful during sex.

If the teenagers are completely responsible for themselves, ie. financially stable and independent, I don’t see a problem with it. For example, two 19 year olds who have been working for a few years and who have their own place, and who can afford rent, food, babysitters, transportation to work and back, sure, why not?

The problem is, this usually isn’t the case. With most teen pregnancies, the parents of the teen, or the state, are the ones who are usually burdened with it.

Because it somewhat is….Usually when your a teen, your in HS, and being prego in HS isnt good cuz of all the stress which causes stress towards the babey, plus now a days, having a baby before marrage is considred slutty. :b

Pregnancy does not constitute being a mother or caring for the child, until they are grown. But it does put the burden of caring for that child on the mother who is pregnant. If at any time a person has to be honest with themselves, and while a fetus you are a mother, with the responsablity of being and caring as a pregnant mother of a child yet unborn. Caring for a child particularly for a teen, means the willingness to put aside your own wants and learn what sacrafice is about. Some can and do, others can’t, and others just do what they think everyone wants them to do. You can have a baby and keep it to raise on your own, you can eliminate it all together neatly as a “mistake” and maybe it won’t come back to haunt you…wondering …… or you can in your self honesty, acknowledge the life form, your inability to raise it, and give it up to a family who can. What makes it bad is it is an experience that for lack of a better term is one of those “between a rock and a hard place” situation you will live with the rest of your life and not one you’d wish on any teen. .

Just because biologically you are able to have kids does not mean you are “ready”.
