Could a cat ever kill you in your sleep?
ok smothering yes if your a heavy sleeper. But I had a cat that was the sweetest thing and was all the time being lovey dovey with everybody but my now ex bro in-law kept sticking a boot in the poor things face and I didnt know it.Well my cat ended up afraid of shoes and one day while I was walking him to the road like I always do I turned around to walk off and my cat jumped on my back and was biting and scratching me and trying to get to the front of my neck im guessing to kill me like they do with other cats but needless to say I ended up with VERY VERY wide and VERY VERY deep slashes all over my body that were bad enough to be rushed to the hospital,I was bleeding pretty bad! So yeah I think they could. they kill other cats by ripping open their necks so yeah.eww
It's a popular misconception that cats suck out a baby's breath or intentionally smother babies.
"I've never seen anything about cats smothering babies in the pediatric journals," Kenneth Polin, M.D. notes. "It's one of these urban legends. In the incidents where it has been reported that a cat smothered a baby it has been determined that the baby died of sudden infant death syndrome. This urban legend needs to be put to rest."
and as for a cat killing an adult during sleep, no.
um if your a super heavy sleeper and they poke you in your temple several time then yes but I highly doubt that you'l be killed by your cat because you'll feel the pain right away then you'll wake up so no
my cat likes to lie on my face...luckily I can wake up to take her off.
So I assume its possible that they could suffocate someone if they weren't careful.
Thank you amoeba!!
I was thinking...yeah, if you had a lion...or a tiger...but your everyday housecat?? LOL...NO
I'm sure it could happen, some cats are physco.
