How do I train for track

At school there is a girls on track program and I can never stick to routine to the point where I can run a good distance without stopping… Because at the end of the season the whole team has to run 5 miles. So how do get into something thats easy enough to the point I can stick to it

Answer #1

Jion the sprinting team lol. That’s what I would do. I’m good at distance and ran about 6 miles today with my cross country team which is like track. Anyway I can run for a long time but I just can’t run fast enough to compete at high speeds for short amounts of time, so I can’t be a sprinter. Anyway everyones different with different abilities so try to explore your other options.

Answer #2

dont stop. they can do it because they practice.

I would know. I used to be in track all high school.

its hard, just dont stop.

think about it this way, if you stop running, you die lol.

it motivated me thinking if I stopped I wouldnt lose weight, or my family would die lol I know thats kinda childish lol, but it worked.

Answer #3

jog & strech?? Push your self harder each day.

Run a mile 1 or .5 miles 1 day and advance .5 like every two / 3 days..

Answer #4

sorry but this is not a fun way but it will help you if you do it long enough ither walk or jog up a resonably steep hill it will build up your leg muscles and it will build up your hart muscles to, the biger you mack your hart muscles the longer you can run because the hart is pumping slower but it is pumping more blood at a time to your muscle witch will let you go for longer Hope it help you it helped me :-))
