How do I know if my calf muscle is pulled or strained?

We did a lot of different excercises and stretches in gym yesterday and I woke up this morning with my calf feeling very stiff. I can barely walk, and when I do there is pain and I have to take very short strides. and it hurts whenever I flex my leg or move it. There is no apparent swelling or bruising but I’m still not sure if it is just sore or if it is pulled or strained?

Pulled or strained = same thing, basically. Elevate, try not to walk on it, alternate between cold & hot packs, etc…if it didn’t get better after a few days, talk to a doctor.
